Founded in 2009 in Manitowoc, WI by Scott Preston and Randall Behnke, with the vision to streamline the logistics of pallet freight, van, reefer, and flatbed shipping, our company has grown into a pivotal player in the freight brokerage sector. Our journey began with a simple mission: “Where We Always Take the High Road”
Initially specializing in the transportation of palletized goods, refrigerated items, and flatbed freight, we quickly established a reputation for excellence and integrity. Our commitment to understanding the unique needs of each client led us to innovate and expand our services. To better support the needs of our Agricultural clients, in 2013 we broadened our scope to include the shipping of bulk agricultural products.

Ship Freight Secure relocated to it’s current office in Forest Junction, WI in 2019.
In 2024, Steven Preston and his wife Kelsey, purchased the entire company from his father Scott. Steven has been with Ship Freight Secure, Inc. since 2011 when he found a “career by accident” in Freight. What was supposed to be a part-time job doing clerical work quickly evolved into a full-time passion for the freight industry.
Theresa is our other team member. She has been with the company since 2016 and brings a wide variety of career experience to the table. Theresa has become an expert in freight and handles all aspects of dispatch and customer service.
We are also fortunate to have a wonderful group of industry experts that work as Broker Agents with Ship Freight Secure. They bring a wide variety of experience and expertise to our organization and have been a key to our success!
